Johannes Kirchebner studied medicine at the Medical University of Vienna (Austria) before completing his specialist training in psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich (CH). He holds a specialization in forensic psychiatry and is head of the high security inpatient treatment unit at the Department of Forensic Psychiatry.  

Besides extensive clinical work and lecturing at the University of Zurich, his scientific work focuses on modern approaches in forensic psychiatry with a focus on schizophrenic spectrum disorders and modern data analysis employing Machine Learning.
