Klemens Egger is a neuroscientist with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Biomedical Neuroscience from TU Munich. His PhD research at PUK focuses on the pharmacology and neurobiology of DMT and harmine. His studies include preclinical work on their brain interactions, human trials investigating the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety of an orodispersible DMT+harmine formulation, and applications of this formulation in an fMRI and an FDG-PET study in collaboration with the University of Bern. This research examines the effects of DMT+harmine on brain activity, connectivity, and its neurometabolic profile, providing insights into its safety and therapeutic potential.
