Robert is a PhD candidate in the Psychedelic Research group at PUK, collaborating with the Neurophotonics and Biosignal Processing Research Group at USZ. His research investigates the effects and mechanisms of psychedelic-assisted treatments on the brain, the body, and brain-body interactions, and their relation to phenomenology and pharmacology.
With a BSc in Computer Engineering and an MSc in Machine Learning and Business Studies, Robert later pursued a Research Master in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at Maastricht University. There, he conducted research on brain-body interactions using cognitive tasks, breathwork, brain imaging, and physiological measurements, aligning with current interests in brain-body connections in psychedelic research.
Robert's interdisciplinary background includes serving as an AI R&D team lead in perception, developing working computational models of multisensory integration, bringing relevant experience for both computational neuroscience models and multimodal brain imaging. He was also a guest lecturer at Central European University (CEU) and Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
