Milan Scheidegger has an academic background in medicine (MD), neuroscience (PhD), and philosophy (MA). As a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist (FMH), he is leading the Psychedelic Research & Therapy Development group at the University of Zurich and the Psychiatric University Clinic Zurich. As a co-founder of the UZH-Spin Off Reconnect Labs and the Reconnect Foundation, his work bridges neuropsychopharmacology with drug development and psychotherapeutic innovation. His research on the neurobiology and therapeutic potential of psychedelics in mental health treatment has been recognized by the SSBP Young Investigators Award (2013), the Inger-Salling Prize (2019), and the European Varela Award (2021).
