Jonas received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He completed an inter-faculty master's project with the Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Cognitive Neuroscience group under Prof. Bigna Lenggenhager at the University of Zurich (UZH) and the Analytics and Statistics group under Prof. Oliver Grothe at KIT. His interests include the therapeutic effects of clinical and recreational psychedelic use, with a focus on psychedelic phenomenology. Currently, Jonas applies Natural Language Processing and qualitative research paradigms to study subjective effects of psychedelics and meditation, identifying core experiential features underlying therapeutic outcomes.
