Katharina recently moved to Zurich after completing her medical studies at the Medical University of Graz in Austria. She currently works as a resident physician at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich (PUK), where she is based at the Rheinau site on a psychosis treatment unit. Alongside her clinical work, she is part of the research team investigating sex differences in stress and substance use disorders, including the potential role of early life adversity, where she contributes as a study physician. She plans to pursue her doctoral degree in Switzerland within this research area, combining her clinical experience in psychiatry with her interest in the biological and psychological mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders.
