Lena Machetanz studied medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany) and began her resident training at the Center for Inpatient Forensic Therapies of the University Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich. In 2022, she obtained a CAS in Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology from the University of Lucerne. Currently, she works as a senior physician in prison psychiatric care in the Canton of Zurich. Her research investigations focus on predictors and protective factors of offending in patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
