We congratulate Corinne Eicher on her grant of CHF 190,000 for three years to carry out the research project “Local sleep deprivation by closed-loop acoustic stimulation in depression: an experimental study of an innovative treatment approach”. Corinne Eicher is completing her PhD in the “Clinical Science” program at the University of Zurich and also works as an assistant physician in the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich. The grants for young academics awarded by the Schweizerische Akademie der Medizinischen Wissenschaften (SAMW) and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) are a reward for her professional competence and personal commitment as well as a sign of the scientific quality of the research project. The following people support Corinne Eicher in the scientific and clinical implementation of the project: Prof. Erich Seifritz, Prof. Reto Huber, Prof. Hans-Peter Landolt, Prof. Golo Kronenberg, and Dr. Giulia da Poian.
